Sweet Pea... it germinates easily enough (70:30 germination ratio) however if I don't keep a watchful eye on it, suddenly I end up with a giant, knotted mess (untangleable). Also, it has to be deadheaded at least weekly to keep it flowering well. Sometimes I wonder is it worth it???This variety is very sweet smelling and pretty. I have it growing in a pot up a metal trellis.

I love Sweet Pea's. I've never grown them but my Grandfather did in Manitoba Canada and his were HUGE and so sweet smelling. He would let some of them go to seed and then he would collect the seeds and pick only the largest and most healthy. Every year they seemed to grow better and better...people would stop and admire my Grandparents garden. My Nana was from England and had a wonderful green thumb. Your sweet peas look wonderful...I bet it smells wonderful when you're working around them. That's one plant I'd like to try growing next year. Have a wonderful evening.
